Dine Around returns to Victoria for 20th year in support of ‘local culinary scene’

A popular food event is returning to Victoria for its 20th year.

Dine Around and Stay in Town kicked off in B.C.’s capital on Friday, Jan. 26, and will run until Feb. 11.

Some 46 restaurants across Greater Victoria are participating in this year’s event, which sees restaurants offering set, three-piece meals for either $25, $35, $45, $55 or $65 per person.

Guests can check with individual restaurants or the Tourism Victoria website to see what menus are available and for what prices.

Meanwhile, 12 hotels are participating in the “Stay in Town” portion of the event, and are offering stays from $149 to $269 per night.

Dine Around generally takes place in January and February to help support businesses through what is a typically a slower season of the year.

“For two decades, this event has brought together food enthusiasts and showcased the creativity of our top chefs,” said Peter DeBruyn, chair of the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association – Victoria Branch.

“I encourage everyone to dine at one of the participating restaurants, supporting our local culinary scene during this challenging time of the year,” he said in a release Friday.
