Investigators in Nanaimo are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing youth.
On Friday, police said they were searching for 17-year-old Leonard Peter – who also responds to the name Jordan – who left his home on Jan. 21 and has not yet returned.
Mounties say that Leonard has “significant issues that require medication and daily monitoring,” and that there is concern for his safety and well-being.
Leonard is described as an Indigenous youth who stands 5’7”. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes. He was also carrying a pink octopus stuffed animal.
Mounties say the photos of Leonard are considered recent.
Anyone with information on the teen’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
