A Comox Valley woman is facing charges after she allegedly smashed into a police vehicle.

According to Comox Valley RCMP, on Sept. 1 one of their officers located a vehicle driving in Royston that had been reported stolen and initiated a traffic stop that resulted in the motorist allegedly driving around the officer’s patrol vehicle and speeding away.

Police say the officer was able to locate the vehicle once again, but this time, the motorist “accelerated and smashed” into the officer’s patrol vehicle.

The motorist, police say, attempted to evade the officer again by reversing into a ditch but got stuck.

Comox Valley RCMP say a 45-year-old unidentified woman from the Comox Valley was arrested and is facing multiple charges.
