Disney and theatre fans unite! Beauty and the Beast is set to hit the stage in Victoria by the end of the month.
The McPherson Playhouse will serve host to Victoria On Stage Musical Theatre and its production of Broadway’s classic fairy tale.
The beloved Disney stage play will mark the first performance from Victoria On Stage Musical Theatre (VOS) in two years since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

The show is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, adapted for the stage with all of the iconic songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, such as “Be Our Guest” and “Gaston.”
Along with the songs from the animated movie, the VOS performance will feature additional songs, written by Menken and Tim Rice.
The original Beauty and the Beast Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The show will run from April 29 – May 8.
