More than 175 sailings will be added to the BC Ferries schedule over the holiday season between Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.
The company says from December 21 to January 2, there will be 130 extra sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen.
The Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay route will see an added 46 sailings.
BC Ferries says December 23 is expected to be the most popular pre-Christmas travel day, and December 27 is anticipated to be the busiest after Monday.
A 6 a.m. sailing will be added in both directions between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen for December 23, 26 and 27.
