B.C. Premier John Horgan announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 in a Twitter post Monday.
This morning I tested positive for COVID-19.
Fortunately, my symptoms are mild and that is thanks to being fully vaccinated.
I’m following public health guidance, isolating and working from home until my symptoms resolve.

In the tweet, he says his symptoms are mild and will isolate and work from home until his symptoms resolve.
Horgan recently went through cancer treatments for throat cancer, which was found in November 2021.
He completed treatment in January 2022.
According to the Canadian Cancer Society, people with cancer are at a higher risk of developing more serious outcomes of COVID-19.
“If you have cancer, you are at a higher risk for more serious outcomes of COVID-19. Cancer is considered an underlying medical condition. And some cancer treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation therapy, can weaken your immune system and make it harder for you to fight infections,” the Canadian Cancer Society says on a cancer and COVID-19 information page.
