A car damaged after a motor vehicle incident on East Saanich Road.
Officials say one person was sent to hospital with serious injuries after a vehicle incident on East Saanich Road in North Saanich Sunday afternoon.
A witness says an older man was struck in a crosswalk near Leal Road by an elderly driver.
The Sidney/North Saanich RCMP say it is a serious incident, and that their crash analysts have been called to the scene.
B.C. Ambulance confirmed one patient was transported hospital.
North Saanich Fire Department says Barret Drive to Dean Park Road is closed until further notice.
The crash took place around 1 p.m. and the Central Saanich police say all their available units were attending the scene.
