Power has been restored for close to 2,000 BC Hydro customers who were without power in Saanich.
According to BC Hydro, the power went out around 11:59 a.m. east of Westervelt Place, south of Cordova Bay Road, west of Tyndall Avenue and north of Bow Road. BC Hydro says 1,990 customers were affected.
High winds are being recorded around Victoria with southeast winds from 50 to 70 km/h expected near the water this afternoon.
