World War II-era rifles stolen from Langford legion

West Shore RCMP say two No. 5 Lee Enfield rifles similar to the one shown above were allegedly stolen from a Royal Canadian Legion in Langford.

World War II-era rifles were allegedly stolen from a legion in Langford earlier this month.

According to West Shore RCMP, two deactivated No. 5 Lee Enfield rifles were stolen from a gun safe located at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 91 on Station Avenue sometime overnight on April 7.

Police are requesting anyone with information about the alleged theft or the whereabouts of the rifles to come forward.
