Saanich police say they have identified a woman alleged to have spat at a school employee on a recess break nearly two weeks ago.
The woman allegedly entered the schoolyard to tell children that COVID-19 wasn’t real.
When a staff member confronted her, she became verbally aggressive and spat in their face, which is considered assault under the criminal code.
On Wednesday, police said the woman had been identified and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
No charges have been laid against the woman.
