A woman was left with minor injuries after she drove her electric scooter into an open hole in a construction zone on Goldstream Avenue, according to West Shore RCMP.

Officers attended the scene in the construction zone near 510 Goldstream Ave. after a woman rode her mobility assistive electric scooter into a hole.

“She rode right in. There’s definitely markings and traffic cones and all that in place to notify the public to not go that way,” Const. Nancy Saggar with West Shore RCMP tells CHEK News.

“We not getting any criminal charges here or anything like that. It seems like the individual that was riding the scooter went around with all the safety equipment.”

Saggar says the woman attended hospital with minor injuries like cuts and scrapes.
