West Shore RCMP says it received 75 traffic related calls, including 26 collisions, during a five day period of snowy weather.

West Shore reported those stats Thursday morning, which tracked calls from Feb. 8-12 when snow began to blanket Greater Victoria.

“This kept our members quite busy and on the road responding to calls for service. Luckily we have no reports of serious injuries” West Shore RCMP Cst. Nancy Saggar said in a release.

“Thank you to everyone who slowed down and abided by winter driving conditions as well as those who stayed off the road altogether.”

Another snow warning was issued Thursday morning for Greater Victoria, forecasting another five to 10 centimetres of snow.

RCMP ask drivers to slow down in the winter conditions.
