NEW: West Shore RCMP released video footage Thursday of Saturday’s theft of an ATM machine at a convenience store on Happy Valley Road in Langford Feb. 9.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects, saying one was wearing a baseball cap, a jacket and long pants

RCMP says the second suspect wore a hoodie with the hood up, a winter jacket with a possible fur collared hood and long pants.

West Shore RCMP says around 5 a.m. Feb. 2, an ATM machine was targeted at a different convenience store on West Shore Parkway in Langford.

A store employee reported an unknown male running into the store with a tow wire around the machine, attached to a white F150 truck.

Police say the suspect was then seen running back to the truck and attempted to haul the ATM away, but the tow wire snapped and the suspect took off empty-handed.

If you have any information regarding either investigation or can identify any of the suspects, you are asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
