West Shore RCMP seek suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted youths

West Shore RCMP enlisted the services of a Forensic Sketch Artist in the case of a man accused of groping two youths.

West Shore RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in helping to identify a man who allegedly sexually assaulted two youths in Colwood.

Two youths reported similar incidents on Jan. 27 and March 24 in the 1900 block of Sooke Road where a man approached them asking for directions.

While speaking with the victims, he allegedly groped them.

The incident on Jan. 27 was around 4 p.m. and on March 24 it was just before 10 p.m. near a bus stop.

In the March 24 incident, the victim says the suspect left when another man approached.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man with a thick accent, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He is mid-40-50 years old with a slim to medium build. He has thick black eyebrows and sideburns.

Anyone with information, dashcam footage, surveillance or who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264, or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
