The West Shore RCMP is still investigating two home invasions involving firearms in the community within a 24-hour period over the weekend.
The first reported home invasion occurred around 4:50 p.m. Friday in Langford and involved a man drawing a handgun.

The second home invasion occurred around 2:45 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Middle Road, which is located on the Songhees First Nation Reserve.
In this second incident, police say a man entered the victim’s home through their front door and fired “what may have been a firearm” while inside.
Mounties say no one was shot inside the home, but one occupant suffered minor blunt-force injuries in the incident, while the suspect fled the scene.
CHEK News made several attempts to contact the nation for a statement but received no response.
Cpl. Nancy Saggar from West Shore RCMP says the on-reserve incident had an altercation between the suspect and the victim.
“The suspect then fled the scene. One occupant did receive injuries. These injuries were resulting from a brief physical altercation between the suspect and the victim, they are not resulting from any gunshot wounds,” said Saggar.
The suspect is described as a man with dark skin who was wearing dark pants, a hoodie and bright white shoes at the time.
Anyone who spots the suspect is asked not to approach him and to contact police, as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Police are asking anyone in the neighbourhood of either the Langford or Songhees Nation Reserve incident to review their home security video for signs of either the suspects and report it to police.

West Shore RCMP says the two home invasions are not believed to be related.
The Dec. 2 home invasion appears to be a targeted and isolated crime, and the public is not believed to be at risk.
