Mounties in the Victoria area are on the hunt for the suspect of an alleged bank robbery in Langford.
On April 2, a man wearing a blue surgical mask walked into a Scotiabank on Merchant Way in Langford holding a firearm and demanded money from the teller, according to West Shore RCMP.
The man then received an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller, left the bank and ran towards Jenkins Avenue. He remains at large.
West Shore RCMP say their officers were on the scene “within minutes” and managed to recover a gun.
The suspect is described as a five-foot-five tall male with light coloured skin and a slim build. He was wearing a black toque, a T-shirt with white graphics on the front, black pants, sunglasses and black shoes with white soles.
RCMP also say he was carrying an olive and black coloured backpack and was wearing a blue surgical mask at the time of the incident.
