A water main break has closed View Royal Elementary School Friday morning. The Greater Victoria School Board says it is hopeful the school can be reopened this afternoon.
Morning classes were cancelled for students of View Royal Elementary School because of a water main break.
View Royal Elementary School is CLOSED this morning due to a water main break. Crews are on site to assess & repair the damage. The school community will be notified when the water main has been repaired. The school will hopefully be re-open by this afternoon. Update to follow.

The Greater Victoria School District (SD61) advised parents early Friday morning on social media that crews are at the school repairing the damage and are making assessments. By late morning, SD61 said the school would remain closed for the rest of the day as crews were still at the site.
Classes will resume Tuesday, Oct. 9.
