This year’s IEOA Truck Parade and Food Drive is returning to Greater Victoria today, Dec. 2, and CHEK News will be livestreaming the event.

The annual parade, which sees dozens of buses and commercial trucks decorated in dazzling lights, kicks off in James Bay at 5 p.m.

It’ll then pass through Oak Bay, Saanich, View Royal, Colwood and Langford before ending in Royal Bay at approximately 8 p.m.

CHEK’s Tess van Straaten will be hosting the event, which will air on TV, on the CHEK News website and the CHEK+ app at approximately 6 p.m. as the trucks roll through Oak Bay.

More than 80 trucks and buses are participating in this year’s parade, and many communities will have donation stations set up, where people can drop off non-perishable food or cash donations.

Instructions on how to make online donations can also be made through the IEOA Truck Parade and Food Drive website.

The livestream for this year’s parade can be found below, as well as a map of the parade route:

This is the second holiday-themed parade to roll through Victoria in as many weeks.

On Nov. 25, the 41st annual Santa Claus Parade, sponsored by Peninsula Co-op, returned to Victoria’s Inner Harbour. You can rewatch CHEK’s Santa parade livestream and coverage here.
