WATCH: The 41st annual Santa Claus Parade in Victoria

The holiday season has arrived, and the 41st annual Santa Claus Parade, sponsored by Peninsula Co-op, is returning to Victoria’s Inner Harbour on Nov. 25.

Some 70,000 people are expected to attend this year’s parade, including 2,000 participants aboard 60 floats, according to the Greater Victoria Festival Society.

CHEK News will be livestreaming the parade on the CHEK TV channel, as well as on CHEK+, the CHEK News website and the CHEK YouTube channel.

A livestream of the event can be found below, starting at approximately 5:20 p.m.

The festive parade kicks off along Government Street, with floats heading north on Government Street from Belleville Street.

The parade will then turn east onto Humboldt Street before heading north on Douglas Street, wrapping up outside the Victoria Public Market at 1701 Douglas St.

The final float will hit the road starting just before 6 p.m.

Road closures will be in effect starting at approximately 3 p.m.
