WATCH: Celebrate Canada Day by reciting the Oath of Citizenship

WATCH: Canada is going to be 151 years old on Sunday and thousands of people will be gathering downtown to celebrate. One of the parts of Canada to really admire is the many Canadians getting their citizenship so we at CHEK had an idea…

In celebration of Canada Day, we want to hear from you. Post a video of you reciting the citizenship oath on social media, tag CHEK News and you could be on the 5 p.m. news on July 1.

Here are the English and French words of the oath.

I swear (or affirm)
That I will be faithful
And bear true allegiance
To Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second
Queen of Canada
Her Heirs and Successors
And that I will faithfully observe
The laws of Canada
And fulfil my duties
As a Canadian citizen.
