UPDATE on June 28: Police say Robert Shepherd has been located and is safe.
Victoria police have expanded their search for Robert Shepherd to the Gulf Islands and Duncan.
Police said Robert Shepherd,49, hasn’t been seen since Saturday, June 23. He was last seen in the 700 block of Pandora Avenue.
Officers discovered circumstances which have led them to be concerned for Shepherd’s safety, police said.
Shepherd is described by police as 5’8″ (172 centimetres), 250 pounds (113 kilograms) with a heavy build. He has grey hair, which is often shaved short. He often wears an untucked button-up shirt and shorts.
Anyone who sees Shepherd is asked to call 911. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call VicPD at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
