UPDATE: Vancouver Police report that Allan Graham, reported missing earlier this week, has been located. He was spotted by a member of the public on a BC Ferry to Vancouver Island at around 6 p.m.  Steps are being taken to reunite him with his family.

Vancouver police are looking for a 65-year-old man with dementia who may try to come to Vancouver Island.

Allan Graham was separated from his family near Dunlevy and Jackson avenues in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside just after 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 21. Police said just after 8 p.m. the next day, he was seen walking near East Hastings and Slocan streets.

Vancouver police said Graham suffers from onset dementia and takes daily medication. His family is concerned for his wellbeing. Graham is visiting Vancouver and is not familiar with the city.

Police are asking Vancouver residents to check their yards, building and garages for signs of the man. He may also try to travel to Vancouver Island and police are asking anyone travelling on BC Ferries to keep an eye out for him.

Graham is described by police as white, approximately 6-feet-tall, with a slim build, short dark grey/brown hair, a reddish complexion and a moustache. He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, beige pants and brown shoes.

Anyone who sees Graham is advised to call 911 and stay with him until first responders arrive.
