Video shows truck crash through Campbell River bowling alley

The crash occurred on Friday afternoon.

One person was taken to hospital after a truck crashed through the front doors of a Campbell River bowling alley.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Petersen Road.

Security video from nearby Ripple Rock Restorations shows a truck entering the intersection of a four-way stop. Shortly after, another truck flies through the intersection, hitting the first vehicle.

Both vehicles were pushed towards the bowling alley, with one truck slamming through its front doors.

BC Emergency Health Services says it was dispatched to the bowling alley around 1:55 p.m.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene, and paramedics cared for one patient, who was then taken to hospital, according to the BCEHS.
