A Victoria resident said she was heading out to get some coffee when she scratched a winning Scratch & Win ticket that wound up netting her $50,000.
Elizabeth Heywood said she was in Starbucks when she scratched her Money…I’m Home! Scratch & Win ticket — one of the various games found on BC Lottery Corporation tickets.
“I was excited and couldn’t believe I won $50,000!” noted Heywood.
The Victoria resident says she purchased the ticket from the London Drugs on Quadra Street.
Heywood says she already has a few plans in place of how she will spend her prize money, including taking her friends out for a nice meal, sharing some of it with her family and setting some aside for a future vacation.
“I’m very happy to have won the money and to be able to share my joy with others,” she exclaimed.
Victoria has been a hot place recently for BCLC winners as earlier this week, it was announced that a local resident had won $200,000 from a Keno draw.
