Police are looking for witnesses following an early morning stabbing in downtown Victoria that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were called to the area of Quadra Street and Pandora Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. for a report that a man was suffering from a stab wound.
Police provided first aid until paramedics arrived and transported the victim to hospital, where he remained Thursdsay morning. His injuries have since been deemed non-life threatening.
The incident shut down traffic on Quadra Street between Pandora Avenue and Johnson Street until about 6 a.m.
Victoria Police forensic investigators were deployed to the scene and the stabbing remains under investigation.
