The driver of a green Toyota sedan crashed into street signs and bushes, leaving the car's front end badly damaged.

Police are asking anyone with video footage to come forward after a two-vehicle crash in Victoria’s Quadra neighbourhood sent one person to hospital Friday.

On March 10, around 12:45 p.m., VicPD officers were called to the interaction of Quadra Street and Summit Avenue for a crash report. The caller told police that people had suffered injuries.

Firefighters from the Victoria Fire Department and BC Emergency Health Services paramedics were already on the scene when officers arrived, according to VicPD.

Police say paramedics transported one person to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicates that following the initial collision, one of the vehicles spun into stop and street signs before crashing into bushes at a Quadra Street property, VicPD said in a release.

Meanwhile, the second vehicle struck a fence on Quadra Street before crossing diagonally across the road, through another fence and into a nearby house.

Video footage captured by CHEK News shows the aftermath of the crash. The driver of a green Toyota sedan crashed into the bushes, and the car’s front end was badly damaged.

According to ICBC’s crash map, the nearby intersection of Finlayson and Quadra streets had 80 crashes between 2017 and 2021. It shows Quadra at Summit only had one.

VicPD officers are asking anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area on Friday between 12:30-1 p.m. to call their report desk at 250-995-7654 ext. 1.
