Police in Victoria are once again asking for tips ahead of the 27th anniversary of Michael Dunahee’s disappearance.

More than two decades ago, on March 24, 1991, four-year-old Michael went missing at Blanshard Elementary School at around 12:30 p.m. The Dunahee family was on their way to a field for a football game when Michael asked if he could go to the nearby park to play.

Dunahee was never seen again. His disappearance, believed to be an abduction, spawned one of the largest police investigations in Canadian history.

VicPD said they still continue to receive tips about Michael’s disappearance. Investigators believe the one tip needed to solve the case is still out there.

Anyone who has information about Michael Dunahee’s disappearance is asked to call VicPD’s dedicated tip line at 250-995-7444 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The annual five-kilometre run-and-walk for Michael Dunahee is being held on Sunday, March 25. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/We-will-never-forget-Michael-Dunahee-172516999468989/.
