A Victoria man has been arrested by police after he barricaded himself inside a suite.
Officers responded just after 10 p.m. Saturday night to a call in the 1100 block of Yates Street of an unknown man inside a suite at a multi-unit residential building. The man was not known to the property owners, and was allegedly causing extensive damage to the suite.
Police on scene used a portable public address system to communicate with the man, who refused to exit the suite for several hours. Officers obtained a warrant and the man was taken into custody. He now faces charges including mischief.
The incident remains under investigation.
