
The Victoria Police Department was on the scene at the courthouse in Victoria earlier dealing with reports of a bomb threat.
Police were called to the area at approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, shutting down the adjacent streets in the area around the 800-block of Burdett Ave.
The Integrated Canine Service and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team were mobilized to assist VicPD with the incident.
The venue was immediately evacuated as well as police performed a sweep of both the exterior and the interior of the building.

“We are working to clear the building with PSD Bodi and PSD Maverick,” read a tweet from Victoria Police, sent just after 12:30 p.m.
Staff were given the all-clear from police to reenter the building before 1 p.m.

Frontline officers have indicated that no one was injured as part of the incident.
