One man was injured in Centennial Square Wednesday afternoon after multiple reports of a fight, according to Victoria police.
Police said shortly before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to multiple reports of a fight involving multiple people, including men and women, in Centennial Square.
When officers arrived, they found an injured man. Police said the suspects in the fight had left the area before police arrived. The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they are working on determining the identities of those involved in the reported fight.
The incident occurred less than an hour after officers responded to two simultaneous reports of armed persons, one of which was in Centennial Square.
Police said this assault investigation does not appear to be not related to those weapons calls.
