VicPD seeking man who tailed another motorist for 2.5 km Tuesday

All in all, it's a two and a half kilometer stretch of road and according to Google Maps, a five-minute drive.

While not atypical to see some erratic driving from time to time on the busy streets of Victoria, police are looking for the driver of a luxury vehicle that may have tailed another for over 5-minutes yesterday.

Police say just before 2:30 p.m., a man driving a Mercedes SUV drove just inches away from another driver while laying down the horn and “gesturing” at the car in front of them.

The report from police says the incident started at the intersection of Tillicum and Craigflower Road and kept up all the way through to Bay and Bridge Street, before the vehicle finally turned off on their journey and headed Northbound on Bridge Street.

Overall, it’s a two and a half kilometer stretch of road and according to Google Maps, a five-minute drive.

The incident occurred from Craigflower Road at Tillicum Road all the way to Bay Street at Bridge Street | VicPD 

The road raging driver is described as a Caucasian man, between 40 and 50-years old. He has a heavy build and may have long hair, possibly in a ponytail.

The vehicle he was driving is described as an older maroon 4-door Mercedes SUV. No license plate was recorded from the incident.

Police are asking that anyone with dashcam, door cam, or surveillance footage from this incident, to reach out to the stations report desk at (250) 995-7654, extension 1.
