Victoria Police Officers are searching for a suspect as they investigate an indecent act that occurred near Macaulay school in Esquimalt late Friday afternoon.
Officers were called around 3:30 p.m. after a male exposed himself to a child in the area near the school just after the close of the school day.
The child was not physically injured, went home and immediately told a parent what had occurred.
Officers are commending the child’s actions of seeking safety and telling a trusted adult without delay.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s.
He was wearing a blue and grey hoodie and blue jeans.
He was last seen near the intersection of Macaulay and Wollaston streets.
Dedicated Esquimalt Division officers, as well as patrol officers are in the process of searching the area for the suspect.
