Victoria Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for Sara Elbahir, who was last seen Sept. 28.

Elbahir is 27 and described as a Black woman, standing 5’8″ tall with a slender build. Sara has brown eyes and brown hair.

VicPD was informed she was missing on Oct. 13, and police say officers have been looking for her since then.

The circumstances she went missing under are why she is considered high-risk.

The B.C. provincial policing standards designate someone as high risk if:

  • They are a vulnerable person
  • They are part of an identifiable group that is at an increased risk of harm.
  • The weather or physical where the person is believed to be mean they may be in immediate danger.
  • There are reasonable grounds to believe they may be the victim of a crime.

If you see Elbahir, you are asked to call 911. If you have information about where she may be, call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
