No one was hurt after a vehicle rolled over near the intersection of Carey Road and McKenzie Avenue Monday morning.

Two people got out of a vehicle unharmed after being involved in a single-vehicle rollover at a busy Saanich intersection Monday morning.

A yellow local business vehicle flipped on its driver’s side at McKenzie Avenue and Carey Road, disrupting traffic during the morning rush.

Saanich Police Cst. Adam Defrane said the driver was eastbound on McKenzie and appeared to have an issue with the vehicle’s brakes.

Defrane said to avoid the vehicle in front of her, the driver veered toward the curb, causing the vehicle to flip on its driver’s side.

Both occupants got out of the vehicle on the passenger’s side, with help from police officers at the scene.

Defrane said the driver and passenger were shaken up, but not hurt, and the road was slippery at the time that may have helped contribute to the crash.

Saanich police say the cause of the crash is being investigated, but no violation tickets were issued to the driver.
