Vandals cause thousands of dollars in damage to vehicles downtown: VicPD

Investigators are seeking two suspects allegedly caught on security camera damanging vehicles at a Victoria business.

Victoria police are calling on the public to help identify a man and a woman allegedly caught on camera damaging several vehicles at a downtown business.

VicPD say officers were called to a vehicle rental business in the 700-block of Courtney Street after staff found three vehicles damaged around midnight on Monday.

Staff reviewed surveillance video of a man and a woman climbing and jumping on the vehicles, causing damage estimated at over $5,000, according to police.

In a news release, VicPD described the man as Caucasian between 20 and 30 years old, standing around 5’9″ tall with a slim build and curly, collar-length blonde hair.

At the time of the incident, he wore a dark blue or grey jean jacket, a “Slayer” T-shirt, a grey and black trucker-style hat with a logo on the front, dark coloured shorts and black skate shoes with white socks.

The woman, meanwhile, is described as Caucasian between 20 and 30 years old, standing around 5’7″ tall with an athletic build and long, brown hair, according to VicPD in the release.

At the time of the incident, she was carrying a white purse and wore a black, athletic-style tank top, grey shorts and two gold chains, including one with a cross.
