UPDATE: It took a few days, but after an Ottawa man posted a Facebook message on Saturday saying he was looking for a guy named Dave from Vancouver Island, Dave has been found in North Delta.

He told 93.7 JR Country Radio today that his nephew in Edmonton had texted him on Tuesday night after his mother on the Island had sent it to him.

“Then my son-in-law was listening to the station on the way home and he never put two and two together until i came out and said yeah, its definitely me.’

Dave says he can’t really remember Doug Bradley, the Ottawa man who was looking to invite to him a reunion of some of those he met while travelling through Europe 50 years ago, but he will contact him.

So does he still have the sideburns?

“No, I got a beard now,” he said.  “I’ve had a beard since 1976.”

An Ottawa man is asking for help in finding a tourist named Dave from Vancouver Island he met in Europe 50 years ago.

Douglas Bradley posted a message on Facebook on Saturday that reads;

“Looking for Dave from Vancouver Island who drove a Mini across Europe in 1969 and watched the moon landing on the floor of the US Embassy in Germany.”

The Embassy would have been in Bonn at the time.

Bradley goes on to say that “Your friends are gathering in Monterey, California in June.”

“Does anyone know where he is?”
