RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old missing from her Port Alberni group home.

Lasheena Seward was last seen on Sunday, May 5th at the home, she was supposed to see her sister in Nanaimo but never arrived.

She was last in contact with a friend on Facebook two days later, May 7th, saying she was with a friend and would be back on May 8th,

Her family say that she may be in the Nanaimo or Victoria area.

Seward is described as an Indigenous female with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

RCMP say she is considered at high risk as a missing person due to the length of her absence, age and undetermined resources for her support.

Police are asking Seward to attend the nearest police station to confirm her well-being.
