Campbell River RCMP are looking for two suspects after a Shell gas station was robbed early Thursday morning.

Police said the two male suspects entered the gas station at Island Highway and Erikson Road, in the Willowpoint area of Campbell River, at 6:30 a.m.

One the men allegedly stated he had a weapon then stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Both men fled the area in a dark-coloured pick-up truck.

The store employees then notified police. Officers obtained video surveillance and examined the scene. No employees was injured during the robbery but Victim Services was offered to the involved employees.

Police said they were able to determine the two men had been in another convenience on Dogwood Street. Nothing was stolen at the time but police did get video surveillance.

The first suspect is described by police as a Caucasian or Indigenous man in his early 20s. He has dark shaved hair with a short mohawk and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black tank top with a white logo, black shorts or black shoes.

The second suspect is described by police as a Caucasian man his early 20s. He was wearing a grey hoodie, camouflage capris/shorts and a green ball cap.
