Two more COVID-19 cases have been identified at a care unit of the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Island Health announced Saturday that one patient and one staff member at the Transitional Care Unit have tested positive for COVID-19 since their last update on Nov. 9.
“The outbreak continues to be limited to the Transitional Care Unit and NRGH remains a safe place to seek care. People should not avoid seeking emergency care if they need it,” the health authority said in a media release Saturday.
The total COVID-19 cases identified during the outbreak at the unit now stands at 14 patients and three staff members.
