The BC Centre for Disease Control says passengers onboard two Island-bound Air Canada/Jazz flights from Vancouver may have been exposed to COVID-19 Apr. 21.

Passengers recently onboard two Air Canada/Jazz flights bound for Vancouver Island from Vancouver are being warned of possible exposure to COVID-19.

The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) has added Air Canada/Jazz flight 8079 from Vancouver to Victoria on April 21 to its exposure list.

The affected rows on the flight span from 3-to-9.

The BCCDC also added Air Canada/Jazz flight 8261 from Vancouver to Nanaimo on April 21 to the list.

The affected rows on this flight are from 7-to-13.

BCCDC says passengers who were on a flight that has been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and those who were sitting in rows identified are considered to be at a higher risk of exposure due to their proximity.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue.
