Two arrested after West Shore RCMP seize 'hundreds' of Xanax pills, weapons

An investigation by Victoria-area police has resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and weapons.

West Shore RCMP say officers from their property crimes organized crime units executed two search warrants on March at a residential property in Colwood, where they discovered illegal drugs and weapons.

The items, which included “hundreds” of Xanax pills, methamphetamine, a large buffering agent, brass knuckles, three imitation handguns, were seized by the RCMP.

Police say they had been conducting covert surveillance on the Colwood property, prior to the seizure.

A 30-year-old male and a 29-year-old female were arrested for weapons-related offences, according to West Shore RCMP, who say a drug trafficking investigation is still ongoing.
