Justin Trudeau is expected to announce measures to help poor, elderly, disabled and homeless Canadians struggling due to the pandemic.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce more measures to help poor, elderly, disabled and homeless Canadians struggling as a result of the pandemic.

The government is also expected to provide more details about the timing and roll-out of the massive 73-billion-dollar wage subsidy program — specifically how businesses can apply.

The hope from Trudeau and the federal government is that the wage subsidy will prompt companies to rehire some of the millions of workers who have asked for emergency federal aid.

Trudeau will be holding a press conference outside Rideau Cottage at the usual time of 8:15 am PT. You can watch the live stream on CHEK’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The Prime Minister made a daily address on Monday, however, he used the time to focus on the tragic events that took place in Nova Scotia instead of discussing COVID-19.
