Trailer burns in Langford, woman treated for smoke inhalation

A woman was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after Langford firefighters responded to a fire on Sooke Road just after 12 p.m.

According to Langford Fire Rescue, the fire was reported in by neighbours who saw heavy smoke coming from a trailer across from the Luxton Fairgrounds.

The woman who was overcome by the smoke was taken to hospital by ambulance. Firefighters are crediting neighbours for quickly putting out the flames with a garden hose.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
