The Sidney Summer Car Show is back this Sunday, Aug. 7.

Just one day remains until Torque Masters’ expansive Summer Car Show cruises into seaside Sidney and offers the public an up-close look at hundreds of custom vehicles.

Happening this Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the annual car show dubbed an “auto extravaganza” returns with around 400 vehicles, including hot rods, classic cars, trucks and motorbikes, set to line Beacon Avenue from Fifth Street to the waterfront.

Torque Masters, a car club around since the 1960s, notes that spectator admission is free with all ages welcome to attend.

It says that while pre-registration is now closed, those hoping to buckle in and enter their vehicle in the show can register at the gate, if space is available, for $25.

According to Torque Masters, its members are involved in numerous events each year that focus on community spirit and raise funds for local charities and student scholarships.

The club’s upcoming car show comes about one month after Northwest Deuce Days made its triumphant return to Victoria, drawing thousands to the city’s Inner Harbour.
