The Canadian national men’s basketball team is coming to Victoria next month and you can now buy tickets to see them play.
On Aug. 25, Team Canada will play Argentina at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in the second round of the senior men’s FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 qualifiers.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here.
Coached by Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse, Canada had the best record in Group C in first-round qualifying at 6-0 while Argentina was second in Group A at 5-1.
Canada’s team features a handful of current NBA players including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Nickeil Alexander-Walker of the Utah Jazz, and Kelly Olynyk, who plays for the Detroit Pistons.
Tip-off for the Aug. 25 game is at 7:40 p.m.
