Three people are homeless after a house fire destroyed a home in Courtenay Saturday night.
Flames broke out around 9:30 p.m. at a home on 26th Street. Witnesses report that the fire started in the garage and eventually worked its way up to the top floor of the two-storey home.
One couple lived upstairs and a single tenant lived downstairs ? no one was seriously injured.
They are both being looked after by emergency social services.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
