The 2017 Invictus Games are set for late September in Toronto, but today in Victoria, Team Canada arrived at PISE to begin training camp.
The training camp will take place all over Victoria, but specifically PISE and Commonwealth Place amongst other locations.
Organizers here in Victoria are hoping to host the 2020 Invictus Games right here in the Capital City.
“It’s so nice to finally meet the team and everyone’s so excited,” Team Canada co-captain Natacha Dupuis says, “the training facilities here are amazing, and I think everybody’s going to enjoy and take advantage of all the specialties of this place.”
“the excitement is definitely building,” Invictus Games 2017 CFO Michael Burns says, “were just six months away from hosting these historic games in Canada, and it’s not just the people in Toronto, the GTA that are excited and we’re seeing the awareness building and the excitement across the country.”
