A house on North Maquinna Drive in Tahsis was damaged by fire on Monday, May 20, 2024.
Tahsis Fire and Rescue was called to a house fire Monday that did extensive damage to a home.
The call came in just after 1 a.m. that a house on North Maquinna Drive in Tahsis was on fire.
No one was home at the time, according to crews.
Fire Chief Kyle Wilkinson says in a statement that when firefighters arrived, the house was heavily involved in flames, leaving them with only an exterior attack.
They managed to keep the fire from spreading to other neighbouring homes.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner is leading the investigation, and no cause has been determined.
