Original story: A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a stabbing at a motel in Nanaimo Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the stabbing was reported at around 2 p.m. Witnesses called 911 and reported an altercation in one of the rooms of the Port-O-Call Inn & Suites.

When officers arrived, they found the man bleeding from an upper-body injury. He was treated by BC Paramedics and taken to hospital.
