Special weather statement issued for Greater Victoria and Southern Gulf Islands warning of strong winds

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement warning of possible strong winds for Greater Victoria and Southern Gulf Islands.

Winds could gust up to 80 km/h by Monday morning, due to a cold airmass spreading through the BC interior that will reach the coast tonight.

Winds are expected to diminish slightly by Monday afternoon but remain brisk through Tuesday morning.
